Rebecca Lesny has been an artist local to the Harrisburg area for the last eight years, selling both privately and through local galleries. Her preferred media is now acrylics.

A lot of what I have been working on lately has been an exploration of color and motion.  I am working in a very pop-art style; lots of bright, solid colors, and images that readily express a theme.  It’s basically a mish-mosh of multiple influences.  I’m incorporating fashion design, ’20’s-style art nouveau,  turn-of-the-century fairytale illustrations, and more.  These new works are incredibly addictive to work on and have been receiving very positive reviews.  They are also evolving quickly, allowing me to really see where I need to grow as an artist, because, as an artist, growth is always the goal.  I have also been working on a number of paintings for charity organizations around PA, particularly UCP of Harrisburg(the next Magic Night charity auction is to be held on March 20th and the West Shore Country Club).  After all, one of the best reasons to create is to help.
